The Florida Gators and the Houston Cougars will meet on Monday night with the National Championship on the line.
National Championship Parlay for Houston vs. Florida
Florida will be making its third National Championship appearance in program history, and its first since 2007, when the Gators won back-to-back titles under Billy Donovan.
It was a remarkable comeback on Saturday night when the Gators defeated Auburn in the Final Four.
Todd Golden’s squad trailed Auburn by eight points at the half but eventually led a second-half comeback, outscoring the Tigers 41-27 in the final 20 minutes as Florida earned a 79-73 victory.
Florida’s depth has shown up and allowed the Gators to reclaim their dominance. It's averaged 85.4 points per game, and Walter Clayton Jr. leads the team with 18.5 points and 4.1 assists per night. He put up a 34-point showing in the win over the Tigers.
FAU transfer Alijah Martin has enjoyed a strong season, averaging 14.6 points per game, and brought fans to their feet with a ferocious dunk to swing the momentum vs. Auburn in Florida’s way.
Additionally, senior guard Will Richard has led by example, adding 13.2 points and 4.5 rebounds this season.
For Houston, the big one has always escaped the Cougars.
For a program that will be making its third National Championship appearance, perhaps a third time will be a charm, as it's never captured college basketball’s most glorious prize.
It’ll also be the first time in over 40 years that Houston finds itself in the title game. Hakeem Olajuwon nearly brought the Cougars to reign as college basketball’s kings in that game.
Houston isn’t here by mistake. Kelvin Sampson’s squad trailed by 14 points midway through the second half against Duke and then it was down 66-59 with 74 seconds left in the game.
Eventually, Houston went on an 11-1 run to end the contest and advance.
LJ Cryer has been Houston’s superstar all season, averaging 15.6 points per game. He drained 26 points on Saturday vs. the Blue Devils.
Emmanuel Sharp has averaged nearly 13 points, while senior J’Wan Roberts has added 10.7 points and a team-best 6.5 rebounds per game.
Houston has also averaged 74.2 points per game this season, and its defense is stellar.
With the matchup set, let's dive into my National Championship parlay for Houston vs. Florida on Monday, April 7.
Houston vs. Florida Parlay
- Houston ML -102
- Milos Uzan Over 12.5 Points
- Will Richard Over 10.5 Points
Parlay Odds: +500 via BetMGM
Remember that same-game parlays are long shots for a reason, so please bet responsibly.

Moneyline: Houston -102
Once again, I'm fully confident riding with the Cougars.
I think Houston matches up perfectly with Florida, and I can see the Cougars dominating the pace of this game with their physicality, which will keep the Gators off the glass.

Houston Player Prop: Milos Uzan Over 12.5 Points
Milos Uzan was awfully quiet due to foul trouble against Duke, but assuming he keeps a clean slate on Monday, I think he'll have more than enough volume to exceed this number.

Florida Player Prop: Will Richard Over 10.5 Points
Richard really struggled in the past two games, but it wasn't due to a lack of volume.
I think he has a shot at breaking this number, as he averages 32.4 minutes per game.
