Big Ten play continues as Ohio State hits the road to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Both teams enter this game with a 2-1 record in conference play, but these teams are trending in opposite directions. Ohio State has won four consecutive games, while Indiana enters this game losing three of its past six, with no wins over top 100 teams in that span.

Ohio State took care of business in non-conference play and is 12-2 overall, with the only losses coming to Texas A&M back in November and Penn State last month. The Buckeyes are a talented bunch, with next-level scorers in the backcourt and experience on the wings and down low.

Indiana's worst performances this season have been ugly to say the least. The Hoosiers have narrowly escaped disaster numerous times, but are 0-4 against their toughest opponents. Mike Woodson called out his guards after their loss last game at Nebraska, a game in which they got destroyed by 16 points and gave up 12 made 3s.

It will be a tall task for Indiana's guards to bounce back and make things difficult on Ohio State's stars.

Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State bounced back from a miserable season last year and has turned into one of the best stories in the Big Ten. Gone is the negative body language and instead is a treasure trove of talent and experience.

Ohio State is at its best on the offensive end, ranking 22nd nationally in offensive efficiency. As a team, the Buckeyes shoot 38% from 3-point range, good for 25th in the country. When they miss, they get offensive rebounds 36% of the time, which is a strength. Felix Okpara and Zed Key impact the game on the boards consistently.

But the nightmare matchups for Ohio State's opponents are Bruce Thornton and Roddy Gayle as the dynamic duo can combine for 40 or 50 points any given night. They have an argument for the title of best backcourt in this conference.

Indiana Hoosiers

Ohio State is one of the best shooting teams in the country from the perimeter, but Indiana couldn't be more opposite. Not only do the Hoosiers rarely make them, but they rarely shoot them either.

Indians attempts just 26% of its field goal attempts from outside, which ranks the Hoosiers 353rd in college basketball. Throughout games, Indiana trots out lineups that are completely devoid of shooters. It is hard for the Hoosiers to win games if their front-court doesn't dominate.

Woodson called out Indiana's guards, specifically Xavier Johnson and Trey Galloway after the loss to Nebraska. It will be interesting to see how they respond, but they will have their hands full with Thornton and Gayle.

Assembly Hall can be a house of horrors for teams of all shapes and sizes, but Ohio State is simply playing better basketball right now. Back the Buckeyes up to -3.
