Below, we have NCAAB odds and a pick for Ohio State vs Penn State.

Big Ten play continues as the Ohio State Buckeyes battle the Penn State Nittany Lions in Happy Valley.

This is the first true road game of the season for Ohio State, as the Buckeyes take a seven-game winning streak into this matchup.

The Buckeyes' offense has caught fire, scoring 84 or more points in five straight games. They're now 16th in the country in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency and 13th in 3-point shooting. Bruce Thornton and Roddy Gayle Jr. make up one of the most explosive guard duos in the sport, and not enough people have noticed.

Conversely, Penn State is trending in the opposite direction.

Penn State is slumping, losing five straight, including a crushing overtime defeat at the hands of Maryland earlier this week. Penn State is low on talent and it's still finding its identity under Mike Rhoades.

Ohio State wants to keep the momentum rolling with a win, and Penn State wants to stop the bleeding.

Ohio State Buckeyes

The Buckeyes are experiencing a youth movement.

Last year, they were one of the worst teams in the Big Ten, but this season, their sophomores have blossomed into stars.

Thornton is among the nation's best guards, leading Ohio State in scoring. He can get to the rim or pull up from anywhere.

Alongside him is the dynamic Gayle, a two-way monster who can play on- or off-ball.

Chris Holtmann snagged Jamison Battle from Minnesota in the portal to compliment his young guards. The steady veteran can fill it up from the wing.

The Buckeyes can score, but the team is ranked 59th nationally in Defensive Efficiency, so they're no slouches on the other end of the court.

It'll be tough for Penn State to keep pace.

Penn State Nittany Lions

The current version of Penn State is a significant departure from the explosive offense that Micah Shrewsberry built around Jalen Pickett last season.

The Nittany Lions are just 115th in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency. They play a fast tempo but can't shoot. Ace Baldwin Jr. and Kanye Clary are a solid combo, but they'll have their hands full with the Buckeye guards.

Penn State's best hope in this game is to force turnovers. The Nittany Lions are 13th nationally in defensive turnover rate. They can hang in this home matchup if they can get to Thornton.

Betting Pick & Prediction

KenPom projects Ohio State as an eight-point home favorite on Saturday, but that feels light, considering how well Ohio State is playing and how poorly Penn State is.

Look, if Bucknell can beat Penn State by nine, the Buckeyes should run the Nittany Lions out of the building.

Pick: Ohio State -6
