Big 12 play is officially upon us. No league offers more of a grind game in and game out than this one.

In this matchup, Oklahoma heads south to Fort Worth to take on a TCU team coming off a heartbreaking loss in Allen Fieldhouse. The Horned Frogs had the lead in the final minute before a controversial flagrant foul was called on Ernest Udeh Jr. guarding Hunter Dickinson.

Meanwhile, OU opened up its league slate with a home victory over Iowa State.

Can the Frogs bounce back inside their own building, or will the Sooners continue to surprise?

Widely regarded as one of the surprise teams in the entire country, Porter Moser has things rolling in his third year in Norman.

Moser did a great job in the transfer portal to build a roster that can now match up with the top-level talent in the Big 12.

He felt last year that they were the least athletic team in the conference, and that's certainly not the case this year.

Javian McCollum has given the Sooners a guard who can create his own shot and also attack the rim and distribute for others.

John Hugley IV is a force on the inside who's rebounding at a high level and altering shots at the rim.

TCU loves to run in transition, so it'll be paramount for the Sooners to get back on defense and force the Horned Frogs to score in the half court.

Additionally, OU should be able to create some second-chance opportunities on the offensive glass, which will take some pressure off of its shotmakers.

Jamie Dixon has done a great job building a winning program at his alma mater.

There's no shortage of talent on the roster once again this season, with seasoned returnees Emanuel Miller, Micah Peavy and Chuck O'Bannon Jr. pairing with talented transfer additions like Avery Anderson III and Jameer Nelson Jr.

Getting all of those pieces to gel together has been Dixon's challenge early in the year, and it's probably why the Frogs aren't playing quite to their potential at this point in the season.

This team should continue to get better as the year goes on, especially once JaKobe Coles returns.

If there's an area to improve offensively, it's avoiding turnovers. TCU ranks outside the top 140 in TO%, which is an alarming stat when facing a very pesky Oklahoma defense.

The good news is TCU is also turning opponents over when it's on defense. Getting in passing lanes and making the OU offense uncomfortable will be a recipe for success on Wednesday.

Betting Pick & Prediction

Oklahoma has been a covering machine all season, and I'm not sure I'm ready to jump off that train quite yet.

The Sooners' defense will travel with it on the road here, and I anticipate TCU really having to work for every basket in the half court.

McCollum and Otega Oweh continue to be dynamic with the ball in their hands, and I think that duo will give Oklahoma a real chance of pulling off the upset on the road.

Give me the Sooners and the points.

Pick: Oklahoma +4
