Two of the ACC's hottest teams square off on Tuesday night in Charlottesville.

Pitt has won five of its last six games, with the only loss coming by four at Miami.

Meanwhile, Virginia has won eight in a row, looking like a completely different team in recent weeks.

Here's Pitt vs. Virginia odds and a pick.

Pitt Panthers

As mentioned above, Jeff Capel's team has found its stride over the last handful of weeks.

The Panthers have shared the ball better on the offensive end while ramping up the defensive effort and energy.

The road win in Cameron started the run, and now this team could potentially secure another big-time road win against a top conference squad.

Virginia won't beat itself, forcing Pitt to play methodically in the half-court.

To succeed against Bennett's pack line defense, you'll need to be able to knock down some shots from deep.

Guards Carlton Carrington, Blake Hinson, and Ishmael Leggett can do that, but each needs to ensure they are hunting good shots and not forcing it.

Virginia Cavaliers

If there's one man you should never bet against in conference play, it's Tony Bennett.

It's remarkable to see Virginia contend in the ACC year after year despite not always having the strongest level of talent.

The roster turnover explains Virginia's early-season struggles, but Bennett has found the right lineup combos, resulting in a massive uptick in offensive efficiency.

The Hoos will always be strong defensively, but the ceiling is much higher with guys like Isaac McKneeley and Jake Groves emerging on the other end.

Look for UVA to slow down the tempo against Pitt and force the Panthers to be disciplined in their shot selection.

Additionally, the Cavaliers are an excellent transition denial defense, holding opponents to one shot a trip.

Betting Pick & Prediction

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Virginia has again emerged as a contender for the ACC Regular Season title, and I don't see the winning streak ending Tuesday night.

Pitt won't have the same level of success on offense against Bennett's scheme. On the other end, Virginia should get plenty of open looks from deep.

Guys like Reece Beekman and McKneeley will knock down their share, allowing the Cavaliers to build a cushion.

I show some value backing the 'Hoos up to -7, but I'd also endorse using them as a ML parlay piece.

Pick: Virginia -5 (Play to -6)
