Let's take a look at the Utah Utes vs. Colorado Buffaloes odds, along with predictions and picks for Saturday's Pac-12 college basketball game.

Both Utah and Colorado had very interesting weeks and meet up for a rematch of their contest from earlier this month.

The Utes took care of business in Salt Lake City on Feb. 3 — which they usually do — and even withstood a second-half charge from the Buffs. They almost blew a double-digit lead in the second half, but they did what they had to do to hang on.

In that matchup, Utah shot almost 10% better from the field than Colorado but won the game by just two possessions.

That's going to be a tough task for the Utes to repeat on the road in this matchup.

Utah Utes

Utah has righted the ship after three straight losses, but it was nearly four straight. It's coming off a very impressive win at the buzzer against a red-hot UCLA team on the road. Going into that matchup, UCLA had won six straight and was the hottest team in the Pac-12.

The Utes have a chance to make a statement with two straight road wins, but Colorado will have something to say about that in a revenge game.

In its last matchup with Colorado, Utah shot below its baseline from the field, which is very interesting. The Utes shoot roughly 53.5% from the field with a 35.7% 3-point percentage and failed to hit either of those marks in their win over the Buffs.

That goes to show the power of home-court advantage. It's clear Utah can find success when it needs against Colorado, but whether it can replicate that on the road is a different story.

Colorado Buffaloes

Colorado is just 3.5 games back in the regular-season conference race with five games left, so it's not technically dead yet. But it will need a lot of help.

If the Buffaloes do have hopes of winning the conference, it needs to start with a revenge win over a solid Utah team.

The Buffs are coming off a 1-1 week that resulted in a loss at UCLA and a double-overtime win at USC. Both of those games featured awful first halves and amazing second halves for Colorado.

It won't get away with that against a team that knows what it takes to beat it, so Tad Boyle's team will need to play a complete game.

KJ Simpson was the creator and do-it-all player against USC and will have to be that man again. He will be able to get what he wants off the dribble against a Utah perimeter that struggles to defend quick guards. That was exactly the case last time these two met, as Simpson went for 25 points.

The rest of the Buffs were not on their A-game, which resulted in the loss at Utah. At home on Saturday, I expect the Buffs to be a lot sharper as a unit.

Betting Pick & Prediction

This game is absolutely massive for both sides, as they're both near the NCAA Tournament bubble. Sometimes, timing is a blessing, and I believe that's the case for Colorado in this matchup.

The road loss will be erased in the committees' eyes if it can take care of business at home. With the assets of Simpson and the home crowd, I expect Colorado to get the job done here.

The Buffaloes are 6-1 at home in conference games with their only loss coming against Arizona. Protecting home court is the name of the game, and Colorado will do exactly that Saturday.

Pick: Colorado -5.5
