The Bulldogs' offense has struggled to score inside of the arc, and this will be a difficult matchup to turn that around. But I envision a lot of success from beyond the arc considering the Broncos have failed to defend the perimeter well, raking outside the top 250 in 3-point attempts allowed.

Yale also does not turn the ball over often, and the Broncos fail to force many turnovers of their own.

This offense is 269th in offensive rebounding, but it is a top-50 team in defensive rebounding. the Bulldogs have been getting killed outside of the arc, sitting outside the top 300 in 3PT% allowed.

I don't fully trust this defense, but I think this is a game where their offense can carry them to a road victory. It's also good news that ShotQuality suggests they have some positive regression heading their way.

This Santa Clara team has some serious regression heading its way.

The Broncos are currently 90th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 165th in defensive efficiency. They could be much worse on the defensive end, but they've played a relatively easy schedule.

I like the Santa Clara offense, but the Broncos will be outmatched on the defensive end.

Between the shooting regression looming and their lack of consistency from the outside, they will have to hope they are clicking early. If this is the game they catch fire from the outside, they should be able to hold off the Bulldogs.

I don't like how they are careless with the basketball, and they don't force any turnovers of their own. That could end up being the difference in this contest.

I know Santa Clara is off to a good start, but let's face it, it has had an easy schedule to begin the year — with its most impressive win coming against Oregon back in November.

Yale is primed to take care of business on the road Saturday. The Bulldogs nearly held their own at Allen Fieldhouse last week, so I don't think they'll be intimidated at all in this environment.

This should be a close game either way, but there are a lot more paths for the Broncos to fail as they face a potential shooting regression. I also trust Yale to hit its free throws down the stretch, which should help the Bulldogs hold off any Broncos comeback.
