The No. 6 ranked Virginia Cavaliers suffered just their fourth loss of the season last time out. However, they get an opportunity at redemption as they return home to host No. 22 North Carolina State.

As for the Wolfpack, they have really hit their stride of late. They come into this matchup winners of four straight and also own victories over two common opponents of the Cavaliers.

So, will the Wolfpack continue to hunt down the ACC's best, or can the Cavaliers continue their march to the top?

Let's dig in and find the best bet for this conference clash.

NC State Wolfpack

North Carolina State has featured a three-headed attack this season as the trio of Terquavion Smith, Jarkel Joiner and Casey Morsell has been deadly to the opposition.

They are each averaging double figures and have proven they can beat defenders from anywhere on the court.

However, in this matchup, we may see them attack from the perimeter.

The Cavaliers are a stout defensive team, but the one area where they have been vulnerable is from behind the arc. Virginia ranks 200th in 3-point percentage allowed and the long ball has accounted for over 34% of the points they have allowed this season.

The Wolfpack have shot 39% from deep during their four-game winning streak. In addition, Haslametrics projects them to shoot 35% in this matchup, which is slightly above the D-I average.

The avenue for offensive success is clear.

Virginia Cavaliers

While NC State's offensive trio is getting a lot of love, the Cavaliers also have three talented scorers to keep your eye on.

It all starts with Armaan Franklin.

The senior guard has shown that he can put the team on his back when he gets hot from deep. His 3-point shooting percentage is up 11% from last year, and that improvement has made the Virginia offense dynamic.

After Franklin, you have to look inside at Jayden Gardner. Gardner has been the heart of this team, as his work down low is crucial to this offense. However, he'll have quite the size discrepancy to contend with in this matchup.

Lastly, you have the third senior, Kihei Clark. Clark has proven he can pick up the slack if Franklin struggles, but a few of his best efforts have come in the Cavaliers' few losses.

When all three of these guys are going right, Virginia has the potential to take down the nation's best. However, the Wolfpack have the skill and size to limit them from all areas of the floor.

NC State vs Virginia Betting Pick

While this appears to be a rare buy-low spot on Virginia after a loss to its in-state rival, it may actually be a spot to pile on.

The Wolfpack have the profile to be effective against the Cavaliers on both ends of the floor. This game will come down to their ability to make 3s and defend the 3.

With all signs pointing to their outside shooting success continuing in this matchup, I'm taking the points with NC State here.
