Below, we have Colgate vs. Arizona odds and a pick for Saturday, Dec. 2.

The Arizona Wildcats look like one of the best teams in all of college basketball through the first six games of the season. This team is elite on both sides of the ball. It has depth, shooting, physicality and an edge that makes it extremely fun to watch.

When the Wildcats take on Colgate, it won't be a cakewalk to a cover. Matt Langel's squad is only 4-3 to start the season, but it ranks 140th on KenPom overall and took Syracuse down to the wire in its only road game against a high-major opponent.

Colgate won 26 games last season and returned 65% of its minutes this season.

But Arizona is a different type of test.

Loaded in every category, the Wildcats have a true claim to being the best team in the country at this point in the year.

Tommy Lloyd's teams have historically been dominant in the non-conference portion of the schedule, and this year is no different. Arizona has not only won all six games it's played, but it's also covered all six games against the spread.

Colgate Raiders

While Colgate is balanced on both sides of the ball, there's not much this team does great on either end. The only category the Raiders rank at an elite level in is preventing offensive rebounds (eighth nationally).

That could come in handy against Arizona, which is fourth in the nation at rebounding its own misses.

But keeping the Wildcats off the glass is a much different test than anything Colgate has faced to start this season.

One factor in Colgate's favor is its experience — four of its top six players are seniors.

Colgate's leading scorer is Braeden Smith, a triple-double threat who averages 15.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. He'll need to be fantastic for Colgate to keep this one close.

Arizona Wildcats

Arizona is an awful matchup for Colgate because it has multiple guards it can throw at Smith to wear him down as the game goes on. Lloyd brought in Caleb Love via the transfer portal and he can switch on and off with Kylan Boswell to make sure one of them is always fresh defensively.

It's hard not to be impressed by the rest of this Wildcats team, as they rank in the top 10 in the country in both Adjusted Offensive and Defensive Efficiency, according to KenPom. As a team, the Cats shoot 39% from 3-point range.

Arizona doesn't beat itself, and so far, no team has been up to the task of playing to its level. Arizona has four wins by 30 or more points and impressive victories over Duke at Cameron Indoor and Michigan State on a neutral floor.

Betting Pick & Prediction

Colgate's best chance in this one is to cross its fingers and hope that Arizona is reading articles like this talking about how impressive it is.

Until we see the Wildcats play down to a lesser opponent's level, it's impossible to bet against the Wildcats.

Pick: Arizona -21
