Texas begins the matchup with a record of 19-14. The Longhorns have enjoyed a strong week, with huge wins over Vanderbilt and Texas A&M. The two victories likely earned Texas an at-large bid into the Big Dance.
Freshman Tre Johnson leads the team with 20.1 points per game.
Tennessee, meanwhile, begins the matchup ranked eighth in the nation. The Vols are playing for seeding and will likely be a No. 2 seed when Selection Sunday comes around.
Rick Barnes's team went 12-6 in SEC play, with notable nonconference wins over Louisville, Baylor and Illinois. Senior Chaz Lanier leads the team with 17.9 points per game.
The Vols are in a strong position today for a comfortable win. Texas has been in a great story this tournament but is playing its third game in three nights.
This physical Tennessee team will wear down Texas and create separation as the game progresses. The Vols rank second nationally in points allowed per game and will slow down this Longhorn offense today.

The line has continued to move in the direction of Clemson after opening as an underdog.
