Are you brave enough to bet on a winless Big Ten team against one of the nation's hottest groups? You won't have many joining you, according to our public betting data.

We'll break down the betting data for tonight's slate to see where the money is and where the lines might go.

All betting data comes from our public betting page (ticket count is free, but money percentages are available only to EDGE subscribers). Betting trends are available for free in The Action Network app, while more advanced betting systems are available to Sports Insights subscribers via Bet Labs.

Biggest Betting Ticket/Money Discrepancies

We track both betting tickets on a given game and the percentage of money that's been bet on each side. If there's a big discrepancy, there's likely some sharper, larger bets on the opposite side.

Here are the three biggest discrepancies for Thursday night as of 3:30 p.m. ET. This data will change as we get closer to tipoffs.

Portland (+4.5) vs. Pepperdine

  • 50% difference
  • Line move: Portland +5 to +4.5

Bet Labs Pro Trend

Over at Bet Labs, we've created historically profitable betting systems for every sport. Tonight, we have 17 games with matches to PRO systems for college basketball, including this one:

First-Half Under with High Totals

This system applies to a whopping 10 games, all in smaller conferences. It's returned a 56.8% winning percentage and 10.5% ROI since 2005, and has hit at a 61% clip in 196 games this season.

It's pretty simple: First-half overs tend to be slightly inflated when the game totals are high, and teams fail to keep up the offensive pace in the early going. There are a handful of parameters, but the first-half total must be between 69 and 89.

Tonight, it applies to Marist-Iona, Coastal Carolina-UL Monroe and eight other games.

Sharp Money Indicators

Each day, we'll highlight one game from our sharp report page that has multiple indicators of sharp action.

Today, you'll need to be brave. Penn State, 0-9 in Big Ten play and winless in 2019, is getting lots of sharp love while the public is all over Purdue.

We've tracked a reverse line movement, a steam move and contrarian indicators on Penn State, and went into more detail on it in our Thursday sharp report article.
