The Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas Jayhawks will clash for a Big 12 showdown on Monday night.
This rivalry matchup dates back to Feb. 20, 1908, when Kansas won the first matchup, 53-35. In fact, the Jayhawks won the first 12 matchups of the head-to-head series, as the Cyclones' first win didn't come until 1916 in Lawrence.
The Jayhawks lead the all-time series, 190-69.
The Cyclones won their last matchup against Kansas, 74-57, earlier in the season.
Iowa State comes into this contest with a record of 17-4. The Cyclones entered the week ranked third in the nation but suffered two losses over the previous week. The mini-cold spell will drop Iowa State in the rankings.
TJ Otzelberger's team suffered an overtime loss to Arizona earlier in the week and followed that up with a 19-point home loss to Kansas State on Saturday in a game in which the Cyclones were 14-point favorites.
However, senior Curtis Jones could get Iowa State back on track. He has been one of the best players in the Big 12 this season while putting up 17.9 points per game.
St Louis, Missouri, native Keshon Gilbert has enjoyed a strong season as well with 15.2 points per game and a team-leading 4.5 assists. Saint Marys transfer Joshua Jefferson has also played a key role, averaging 12.9 points and a team-leading 8.0 rebounds.
Kansas, meanwhile, enters the game with a 15-6 record after beginning last week ranked 11th in the nation.
Bill Self's team split its meetings last weekend with a win over UCF and a tough loss to Baylor on Saturday. The latter defeat was the largest blown lead in Kansas basketball history (21 points).
In terms of overall consistency, few programs have been better than Kansas. The Jayhawks have reached the NCAA Tournament in every season since 1990.
Notably for this game, Kansas has posted a 10-2 record at Allen Fieldhouse this season.
Veteran big man Hunter Dickinson leads the team with 16.4 points per game and 9.7 rebounds. South Dakota State transfer Zeke Mayo has been outstanding in his first year with Kansas, averaging 15.0 points per game and 3.0 assists. Senior Dajuan Harris has added 9.8 points and a team-leading 5.9 assists.

I love this spot for the Jayhawks tonight.
Kansas has been one of the best home teams in college hoops over the past few seasons, as Allen Fieldhouse serves as one of the most hostile environments in the nation.
After blowing a 21-point lead on Saturday, Kansas will bounce back tonight.
Kansas Player Prop: Hunter Dickinson Over 8.5 Rebounds
The big man Dickinson has averaged 9.7 rebounds this year and 9.1 over his career.
Dickinson matches up well with this Cyclones team and is one of the better offensive rebounders in college basketball.
The senior has ripped down eight or more rebounds in four of his last six games.
Iowa State Player Prop: Keshon Gilbert Over 14.5 Points
The experienced Gilbert has averaged 15.2 points per game this season.
He will log a lot of minutes tonight in this crucial matchup, especially after the loss to Kansas State on Saturday. For what it's worth, Gilbert has also averaged a career-high 32.4 minutes per game on the season.
