My Eastern Illinois vs Little Rock College Basketball Betting Preview
Coming into the 2024-25 season, the coaches and league communication directors selected Little Rock as the OVC favorite.
But the Trojans didn't live up to expectations to start the season, as they dealt with injuries and the death of a team manager.
Little Rock has seemingly turned things around, though, winning five straight games while sitting a half-game behind Morehead State at the top of the league standings. Senior Jordan Jefferson is back, and the team has finally found some semblance of continuity without KK Robinson, who was ruled out for the year before the season.
The Trojans have played one less game than the first-place Eagles because this matchup vs. Eastern Illinois was postponed following the death of Josh Claxton.
The two teams will now make this one up on the campus of Lindenwood, essentially creating a neutral floor environment.
While Little Rock has been flying high, Eastern Illinois is at the bottom of the Ohio Valley barrel. The Panthers have lost seven straight games and they haven't won a single duel away from their home arena this season.
Little Rock is the better team and has more momentum, but it also has the motivational angle working for it.
A win on Monday would get the Trojans into a tie for first place in the OVC. After all they've dealt with this season, that would be a great accomplishment for the program as it chases its second straight regular season conference title.
Also, with newfound depth and good role allocation, the Trojans won't have to worry about the fact that they just played on Saturday. (Plus, their opponent also did the same.)
