My Fresno State vs Nevada College Basketball Betting Preview

Fresno State is just flat out bad. The Bulldogs have five wins on the season and are currently 1-12 in the Mountain West. The team's leading scorer — Amar Augillard — departed from the program in December and its second-leading rebounder — Mykell Robinson — is dealing with an eligibility issue.

Most importantly, the Bulldogs are horrid away from home, with just one of their six MWC matchups this season being decided by single digits (Utah State). They're also 209th in Haslametrics' away-from-home metric.

Meanwhile, the Wolf Pack have won two straight and already beat Fresno by 11 points on the road earlier in the campaign.

In that first matchup, Nevada's 6-foot-10 senior Nick Davidson dominated, scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. But it wasn't just Davidson, the Wolf Pack flexed their muscles in the paint in general, outrebounding the Bulldogs by 20 and scoring 24 more points in the paint.

The Bulldogs have no answer for Davidson or Nevada on the interior because they have a serious lack of size. Mor Seck and Pierre Geneste Jr. are 7-foot-1 and 6-foot-11, respectively, but they combine for less than 25 minutes a night.

Considering Robinson played 30 minutes in the first meeting and the Bulldogs still got burned on the glass, Monday could be even uglier.

The downside to this bet is Tre Coleman's status is up in the air for Nevada. The senior didn't travel for last week's Air Force game and came off the bench in the two previous outings after starting 20 straight to open the season.

However, the good news is Coleman went 2-for-11 and dealt with foul trouble in the first game vs. Fresno, rendering him a non-factor to the double-digit result.
