Iowa will face off against South Carolina in a battle of titans for the National Championship on Sunday, April 7.

The odds opened up at South Carolina -6.5 at DraftKings, with the Gamecocks -270 on the moneyline.

The total opened up at 161.

UConn's moneyline opened at +220 at the sportsbook.

Iowa is the biggest liability for most sportsbooks to win the National Championship. The bettors have been backing the Hawkeyes all season long and that's not likely to stop for the title game. Caitlin Clark continues to be America's darling.

Iowa is far behind South Carolina in terms of odds but sportsbooks would much rather see South Carolina lift the trophy when it's all said and done.

South Carolina has been dominant all season long as they eye an undefeated season. Dawn Staley's Gamecocks are led by Kamilla Cardosa who is almost averaging a double-double for South Carolina on the season. She scored 22 points in the win over NC State in the Final Four.

This is expected to be one of the biggest games in the history of women's college basketball for sportsbooks. Iowa vs. LSU already pulled in record handle but this game could be even bigger.

“LSU-Iowa is easily the most bet game of the day and could be for the overall women’s tournament,” said Shank Subramani, college basketball trader at Fanatics Sportsbook said on Monday. “But I don’t think it would surpass a potential Iowa-South Carolina finals matchup because it would be a standalone Sunday game with major hype for an entire weekend.”
