The Alabama Crimson Tide have been washing away their competition this season, and conference play has been no exception. Nate Oats' squad is undefeated against SEC opposition and comes into this one off a statement victory over Arkansas.

There couldn't be a starker contrast to the Crimson Tide's hot streak than the LSU Tigers' most recent stretch. LSU enters this matchup having lost each of its last three games and now has an arduous road game in front of them.

This is clearly a matchup of teams trending in opposite directions, but will this be the game that breaks the streaks? Find out as we dive into our prediction for this matchup and uncover the best bet.

LSU Tigers

LSU's three-game losing streak has been a domino effect. It started with a tough loss to Kentucky, where they shot well and covered. However, that offensive output disappeared against Texas A&M, as they shot 29 percent from inside the arc, and their most recent loss to Florida was not much of an improvement.

LSU is by no means an elite offensive team. They have two dynamic scorers in KJ Williams and Adam Miller. In addition, Willams is a stat sheet stuffer, as he's averaging 18.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while also getting it done on the defensive end of the floor.

Miller is the floor stretcher, as he's proven to be very dangerous from beyond the arc. However, this season, he's been streaky from deep. His cold stretches have limited the team's offensive output.

The Crimson Tide may be their toughest matchup yet. Alabama has been phenomenal on the defensive end of the floor, ranking ninth in defensive efficiency and third in effective field goal percentage allowed.

Alabama Crimson Tide

While the biggest strides for the Crimson Tide have been made on the defensive end of the floor, don't be fooled, they can put the ball in the bucket as well.

Freshman big man Brandon Miller has become the big man on campus, as he's averaging 18.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. However, he's not alone.

Fellow freshman Noah Clowney has made his presence felt in the paint as well. Clowney is the more traditional big man, but he will take the three if left open.

They embody this Alabama team. They are dynamic offensively because they have the ability to be deadly from downtown but also possess the size to create extra possessions on the offensive glass.

The Tigers have proven to be excellent at limiting perimeter shots, but they have yet to face a team that will shoot them with the volume of Alabama. Now whether the threes go down or not isn't the determining factor because the Crimson Tide's size and rebounding edge will give them a boatload of opportunities in this one.

LSU vs. Alabama Betting Pick

This Alabama team is on a mission, and that is clear with the impressive resume they've put together thus far. While they will almost certainly add the Tigers to that list, the market might be pricing them at their peak.

Alabama has shown the ability to wear teams down and gain an edge as games have gone along. That is likely the case for them against the Tigers, but LSU's continual offensive struggles point us in a different direction toward the total.

The Crimson Tide will pull away in this one, and that only helps our angle as we will not have to worry about late-game free throws while sweating this under.

Pick: Under 147 or Better
