My MD Eastern Shore vs Howard College Basketball Betting Preview
On February 10, Howard defeated Maryland Eastern Shore by 20 points on the road. The Bison shot 53% from 3 while the Hawks drilled 21%, and the Bison also obliterated their opponent in the paint, grabbing 15 more rebounds and scoring eight more points on the interior.
Typically, I'd say that 3-point regression is likely coming in this game — the Bison aren't going to shoot 53% from downtown and the Hawks are likely to shoot a little better than 21%. However, Maryland Eastern Shore is just flat out bad.
The Hawks rank 361st in KenPom and have lost nine straight games (including all eight in the MEAC) by an average of 14 points per game. In fact, they've had just two single-digit results in league play, and both came in their own building.
Now the Hawks have to go on the road to D.C. to play a Howard team that just got spanked by Delaware State in their previous outing.
The Bison are the much better team, and even if the 3-point percentages regress to the mean from the previous matchup, I still expect Howard to dominate the paint and come out on top by 15 or so points.
