The South Carolina Gamecocks (35-0) have their next obstacle in the chase of a perfect season in a rematch with the Maryland Terrapins (28-6) on Monday night.
Let’s find a pick for the game.

The Terrapins enter the Elite Eight 3-0 against the spread (ATS) with double-digit wins in each tournament contest.
Brenda Freese has her squad in the right shape entering the most important game of the season. The Terps are shooting better than 49% through three games and have never struggled to put teams out of reach.
Of course, none of their previous competition compares to one of the greatest defensive teams to ever exist in South Carolina, but playing the Gamecocks early in the season, albeit a loss, has to provide some benefits for this team's mentality.
The Gamecocks enter the Elite Eight 1-2 ATS in the big dance with a total winning margin of +79.
South Carolina has been dominant in its quest for perfection so far but specifically on the defensive end. The Gamecocks are the only team in the tournament to hold all of their opponents to fewer than 50 points.
Dawn Staley’s group has yet to be tested, but in their Sweet Sixteen game against UCLA, the Gamecocks really struggled to score outside of the paint as the Bruins zone defense kept the Gamecocks under 60 points for only the second time this season.
Maryland vs. South Carolina Betting Pick
The Terps are a completely different team than the one that lost to the Gamecocks back in November by 25 points.
For starters, they were without Diamond Miller, and it was only the second game of the season with just one starter returning this year. Even without Miller, the Terps were down only six at half, due in large part to their effective zone defense.
Factor in South Carolina’s elite defense, the pressure of clinching a Final Four spot, and I think we see a much closer outcome than the previous matchup.
This should be an incredible game, and I think both teams will fight like hell to control pace and the boards. Give me the under.
