Morehead State vs Little Rock College Basketball Betting Preview

Little Rock came into the season as the preseason favorite to win the Ohio Valley Conference. And while the Trojans are still in the mix to achieve that goal, injuries have derailed them a bit.

First, K.K. Robinson, the team's leading scorer from last season, suffered a knee injury in a preseason practice and was lost for the campaign.

But now the Trojans have been without senior Jordan Jefferson since the end of November, sophomore Creed Williamson has played in just four games and freshman Travonne Jackson injured his knee in Saturday's loss.

Little Rock's depth is zapped, even though it still has ex-Creighton and Memphis transfer Johnathan Lawson leading the show.

With that in mind, I think the Eagles are going to keep this game relatively close, despite this being a road affair.

The Eagles don't have great analytics and they're coming off a 19-point beatdown at the hands of Tennessee Tech. However, Morehead State won five straight games before the loss (they've been playing better basketball of late) and two of its top three scorers are seniors (experience matters in conference road games).

The Eagles also saw third-leading scorer Tyler Brelsford shoot 0-for-10 against Tennessee Tech, something that's unlikely to happen for the second straight game.

Morehead will be motivated to rebound from an ugly loss, while the Trojans deal with a plethora of injuries. The Eagles may not pull off the upset, but I'll at least count on them to keep it within five or so.
