We'll head to Dayton, Ohio, as we tip off the First Four on Tuesday night.

The North Carolina Tar Heels and the San Diego State Aztecs will meet for this highly anticipated matchup for the right to play No. 6-seeded Ole Miss in the Round of 64.

College Basketball Parlay for San Diego State vs. UNC

Quickslip

The nation was stunned when it heard North Carolina's name called on Selection Sunday. Carolina posted a record of 22-13 while playing in the worst power conference in the nation.

The main concern for North Carolina, though, was its record against Quad 1 opponents (1-12). UNC beat just one team that made this bracket (UCLA).

The Tar Heels will attempt to prove their doubters wrong, starting with a victory on Tuesday.

North Carolina has reached the Big Dance in 13 of the last 15 years.

Hubert Davis' team reached the ACC Tournament semifinals before losing to the Duke Blue Devils. North Carolina had an opportunity to take the lead with less than five seconds in the game, as Ven-Allen Lubin went to the free throw line for two shots.

He missed the first free throw but made the second, and it appeared that the Heels tied the game. However, Jae'Lyn Withers entered the lane early to void the free throw.

The tragic loss appeared to be the Heels' season-ender, but now they have a new life.

Senior RJ Davis leads the Heels with 17.0 points per game. Bronx native Ian Jackson has enjoyed a strong campaign, with 12.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per outing.

North Carolina is averaging 80.8 points per game, which ranks 33rd in the nation.

On the flip side, the Aztecs posted a record of 21-9. San Diego State has gone dancing in five consecutive seasons.

The Aztecs reached the National Championship in 2023, when they lost to UConn.

Head coach Brian Dutcher has done an outstanding job since taking over in 2017-2018.

Dutcher and the Aztecs had impressive wins out of the conference against Creighton, Houston and UC San Diego this season.

San Diego State last played on March 13 when it lost to the Boise State Broncos in the Mountain West Tournament.

Senior Nick Boyd leads the Aztecs with 13.4 points and 4.0 assists per game.

With the matchup set, let's dive into my college basketball parlay for San Diego State vs. UNC on Tuesday, March 18.

Moneyline: UNC -178

Despite losing their last game, the Heels are playing their best basketball of the season.

There's a strong debate about whether North Carolina should even be dancing right now, but nobody can dispute that this is the best the Heels have looked as a team all season.

The pace that North Carolina plays at will be problematic for the Aztecs.

San Diego State ranks 263rd in the nation in points per game and faces a Carolina defense that ranks 33rd.

UNC Player Prop: Elliot Cadeau Over 7.5 Points

Elliot Cadeau is one game removed from a 15-point performance against the Duke Blue Devils.

We're getting a favorable line on this prop on Tuesday.

The sophomore has averaged 9.5 points per game in 27.7 minutes.

Cadeau will see high usage and will be able to exceed this number.
