Texas A&M ML

vs. Michigan at 5:15 p.m. ET · CBS

The Michigan Wolverines and the Texas A&M Aggies will meet with a trip to the Sweet 16.

The Wolverines survived a thriller against UC San Diego on Thursday.

Michigan took a double-digit lead into the half, but a late surge from the Tritons gave them a one-point lead late. But the Wolverines kept their composure, hitting multiple key shots late in the game to earn a 68-65 win.

Head Coach Dusty May has done an outstanding job in year one, leading the Wolverines to a Big Ten Championship win after the program missed out on the big dance last season.

May and the Wolverines have won four consecutive games.

FAU Transfer Vladislav Goldin leads the team with 16.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Texas A&M begins the contest with a record of 23-10, and the Aggies are coming off a comfortable win over the Yale Bulldogs on Thursday.

Buzz Williams's team has gone dancing in three consecutive years.

Senior Wade Taylor IV leads the Aggies with 15.7 points per game and 4.3 assists.

Schematically, the Aggies' style of play matches up well with this Michigan team. Texas A&M will turn the game into a slow-paced, half-court contest and should dominate Michigan on the glass — Williams' squad ranks fourth nationally in rebounds per game.

Houston -5.5

vs. Gonzaga at 8:40 p.m. ET · TNT

The Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Houston Cougars will clash for a highly anticipated matchup on Saturday Night.

The Zags showed how under-seeded they were on Thursday. Mark Fews' team came out red hot, opening up an early 30-5 lead over Georgia and never looking back, winning the game 89-69.

Big man Graham Ike leads the Bulldogs with 17.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.

Houston comes into the game with a record of 31-4, and the Cougars will attempt to earn another Sweet 16 appearance this year.

Head Coach Kelvin Sampson has led the Cougars to five consecutive March Madness appearances, but Houston has never won a National Championship.

L.J. Cryer leads the team with 15.2 points per game.

Despite the Zags looking great in round one, I'm fading them on Saturday.

The Cougars' physicality will give the Bulldogs issues throughout the contest. Houston is the nation's top-ranked scoring defense, allowing the opposition to score 57.9 points per game.

We will see a slower-paced half-court game that favors the top-seeded Cougars.
