The Women’s NCAA Tournament is set for Wednesday with the First Four games, so it’s a perfect opportunity to look at Kalshi's market and predict who will take home the title.
2025 NCAA Women's Basketball Champion Odds
It's a two-team race at the top between UConn and South Carolina. The Gamecocks are looking to win their third national championship in four seasons, and the Huskies are searching for the program’s 12th title under legendary coach Geno Auriemma. For all of UConn’s dominance in the sport, the Huskies have not cut down the nets since 2016.
UCLA was awarded the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament after defeating crosstown rival USC in the Big Ten Championship, but the Bruins sit in the third slot behind UConn and South Carolina. The Texas Longhorns, who fell to South Carolina in the SEC title game, are fourth.
There are plenty of intriguing storylines heading into this year’s tournament. UConn, led by Paige Bueckers, is a dangerous No. 2 seed in USC’s region. A potential clash between Bueckers and JuJu Watkins in the Elite 8 would be must-see TV. Watkins poured in 25 points in the Trojans’ 72-70 win over UConn in December.
The top-seeded Bruins are looking to make the program’s first ever Final Four and win their first ever national championship.
What is Kalshi?
Different than a traditional sportsbook and available in all 50 states, Kalshi allows users to make predictions across several unique markets, including sports, entertainment, elections and even weather.
Kalshi operates on a contract-based system where users buy "contracts" (priced between 1–99 cents) based on whether they believe a specific event will happen. The price of each contract fluctuates in real time based on market sentiment and like the stock market, traders can sell positions early to lock in profits (or minimize losses).
