The Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies are going in different directions early in Pac-12 play. The two squads now meet at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle on Thursday.

The Ducks have won each of their first two conference games at home, while the Huskies have started 0-2 in Pac-12 play.

Oregon Ducks

Oregon took care of the two Los Angeles schools at home in its first two Pac-12 contests last week. The Ducks held off USC, 82-74, as three-point favorites before notching a 64-59 victory over UCLA as seven-point chalk.

In the USC win, the Ducks jumped out to a 20-point lead before the Trojans cut the deficit to four in the final minute. Oregon knocked down 26 free throws, and Kwame Evans, Jr. paced the Ducks with 22 points.

The Ducks were limited to 41% shooting against UCLA, although Jackson Shelstad shot 7-of-13 from the field and scored 20 points in the win.

Dana Altman’s team began the season 2-3 against the spread, but the Ducks have covered in six of the past eight games.

Oregon is playing its second true road game of the season, as the Ducks flew east to Tallahassee and beat Florida A&M in December, 67-54, while failing to cash as 22-point favorites.

This is the second time that the Ducks are listed as an underdog this season; they covered in a 99-91 setback to Alabama while receiving 8.5 points in late November.

Washington Huskies

Washington hit the road for its first two Pac-12 games and came up short in losses to Colorado and Utah. The Huskies managed to cover both times as an underdog but couldn’t hold on to second-half leads.

Colorado rallied past Washington in Boulder last Friday, as the Huskies led by seven points with 5:22 left. The Huskies cashed as 8.5-point underdogs but were outscored 17-6 down the stretch.

Washington jumped out to an 11-point halftime lead at Utah on Sunday, but disaster struck in the second half, as the Utes dropped 60 points for a 95-90 triumph. Again, UW covered as heavy ‘dogs (+10) but couldn’t hold on in spite of Utah missing 12 free throws.

Former Kentucky forward Keion Brooks Jr. continues to deliver for the Huskies by averaging 20.5 points per game this season. Brooks has topped the 20-point mark in four consecutive games, while hitting 40% of his 3-point tries.

The Huskies have started 6-1 at home, with their only loss coming to a solid Nevada squad in November. Last season, Washington was listed as a home favorite in Pac-12 play only three times, posting a 3-0 record and covering twice.

Washington tripped up Oregon in overtime in their lone meeting last season as 5.5-point home underdogs. It marked the second straight win for the Huskies over the Ducks.

Betting Pick & Prediction

Although Washington failed to win a game in its first two tries in Pac-12 play, the Huskies could easily be 2-0.

Oregon beat a pair of teams that have been disappointments so far in USC and UCLA and failed to cover against the Bruins.

This is a good spot for Washington to bounce back as a short favorite and beat Oregon at home.

Pick: Washington -3 (Play to -4)
