With March Madness comes all the slimy, oftentimes gut-wrenching, NCAA Tournament bad beats (both straight up and from a betting perspective).
Minutes after Texas A&M Corpus-Christi cashed the spread on a meaningless 3-pointer against Alabama, San Diego State trumped it with a miracle cover against Charleston on Thursday.
The Aztecs closed as 5- or 5.5-point favorites over the College of Charleston. Up four in the waning seconds, San Diego State grabbed a rebound and appeared to drain out the clock.
However, a whistle was called with 0.7 seconds left. Two free throws were awarded … and both were sunk.
A VERY IMPORTANT FOUL 👀
San Diego St. (-5.5) would go on to make both free throws and cover 😅 ✅pic.twitter.com/kQHAlFHCSn
