If you're a fan of scoring, explosive offense and 3-point efficiency, tonight's Siena-Manhattan college basketball matchup is not for you. Siena is listed as a 2-point road favorite, but it's the over/under that caught my attention.
After opening at 112.5, the total has dropped to 110.5. And should the over/under close at the current number, it would mark the lowest college basketball total since 2015, according to our Bet Labs data.
More specifically, the Feb. 11, 2015 matchup between Wyoming and San Diego State closed at an insane 106.5. For those wondering, overs are 63-49-1 (56.3%) in college basketball games with totals of 110.5 and below since 2005.
Manhattan is no stranger to tiny totals, currently occupying the two lowest over/unders of the season — 113.5 against Saint Peter's on Feb. 2 and 117.5 against Siena on Jan. 26.
Considering the January matchup against Siena still fell under by 17.5 points, it's no surprise to see tonight's number plummeting across the market.
A whopping 15 of 19 (78.9%) Manhattan's games this season have gone under the total, while unders are 14-5 (73.7%) in Siena's matchups.
Despite those numbers, 63% of bets wagered on the total have played the over.
