TCU vs West Virginia College Basketball Betting Preview

TCU is a feisty team that's built some confidence and is playing better. The Horned Frogs have won five of seven, which includes a win over top-10 Texas Tech at home.

The Horned Frogs also defeated West Virginia previously, winning by five in Fort Worth behind Vasean Allette's 22-point, 11-rebound, five-assist performance.

On the flip side, West Virginia isn't a favorite I trust. The Mountaineers like to grind it out, keep the game in the half-court and are too reliant on Javon Small hitting enough shots to will them to victory.

For example, in the first matchup between these two, Small scored 20 points while the rest of the starters combined to score 19 of their own.

West Virginia's formula didn't go well for it in the second half against Texas Tech, as things got away from it. Thus, I like the Mountaineers more as an underdog.

I feel the same about TCU — I don't trust it as a favorite, but as a 'dog, it's reliable.

Finally, this travel spot hasn't proven to be a problem for other teams, as the Horned Frogs are going from Cincinnati to Morgantown.
