My Temple vs Charlotte College Basketball Betting Preview

Due to inclement weather, this game between Temple and Charlotte was moved from 7 p.m. ET to 3 p.m. ET.

That won't have much impact on this handicap, but it's important to note the first meeting between these two teams.

On January 29, Charlotte took Temple to double overtime in Philadelphia, falling by one point as 9.5-point 'dogs.

Are the 49ers capable of putting forth that type of effort once again — this time in their home building? I'd say, yes, especially when the Owls' leading scorer — Jamal Mashburn Jr. — may not play — and even if he does, he's likely to be less than 100%.

Mashburn isn't just the team's leading scorer, though — he's a star. The guard averages 22 points per game and is the straw that stirs the drink for this Owls roster.

It's notable that Mashburn played in that first meeting — the one the 49ers almost won. In fact, he scored 34 points (!) and the 49ers still nearly pulled off the upset.

This is one of the 49ers' last true chances to pull off a win this season, and it helps that Temple hasn't visited this gym since 2013, creating unfamiliar territory for Adam Fisher's squad.
