Tennessee vs. Florida SEC Tournament Betting Preview
No. 4 Florida and No. 8 Tennessee meet in the SEC Tournament Championship game on Sunday.
They split their two meetings this year, with Florida winning by 30 in Gainesville and Tennessee getting revenge with a 20-point victory in Nashville.
Florida had the better record at 29-4 while Tennessee posted a record of 27-6.
The key figure I was looking at for this handicap was the Vols' number away from Rocky Top, as they were 16-1 at home but only 6-5 in away games.
Florida was cleaner on the year (25 covers) and it has the top offensive rebounding team in the country — to go along with the 13th-ranked defense. Todd Golden's bunch allows its opponents to shoot 39.7% from the field while also being terrific defending the perimeter.
The Gators' margin of victory is 16.4 per game, and that will come into play for this neutral-site duel.
Tennessee has a good team too, but Florida is more polished. Tennessee doesn't have a great offense, and the Gators just have too many weapons — Walter Clayton Jr., Alijah Martin, Will Richard — on that side of the ball. That's tough to contend with for even the best defenses in the nation.
