Villanova vs Georgetown College Basketball Betting Preview
We've watched Georgetown play the last two games, and this team just has absolutely no hope defensively without Thomas Sorber, who's done for the season with a foot injury.
It's too young, and there's only one Micah Peavy out there. They need three Peavys if they have any prayer of being a good defensive team.
We don't trust an Ed Cooley team without a defensive backbone.
As for Villanova, the hate has gone to far. We like what we're seeing recently from them, especially offensively.
Villanova is still on the outside looking in for the NCAA Tournament, but it still has a small chance. And this result matters for Big East Tournament seeding, where the Wildcats could potentially do damage and increase their postseason hopes.
Georgetown has lost three straight games, and even though they came against Creighton, UConn and Marquette, the Hoyas were defeated by double digits in all three.
Finally, it's the road revenge angle. Villanova lost by one at home to Georgetown, and we're expecting the bounce back against a much lesser version of the Hoyas.
Wooga Poplar played only eight minutes in the first meeting and the Wildcats still only lost by one.
Eric Dixon had 29 points on 10-of-23 shooting against Peavy in the first game. Peavy is an excellent defender, but he's too small vs. Dixon, creating a nice go-to matchup for Nova.
Trust your gut and take the Cats.
