The beauty of Selection Sunday is that — as much as people try — no one really knows who's going to be in and who's going to be out of the NCAA Tournament.

Bracketology has elevated the pageantry of college basketball and March Madness. And now, we can legally bet on whether or not we think a team will make the NCAA Tournament.

Wake Forest didn't spend much time on the bubble this season after getting off to a rousing start. The Demon Deacons only lost one game through non-conference play and that was against LSU on a neutral court.

The Demon Deacons finished fifth in the ACC with a 13-7 conference record. They sputtered a bit toward the end, losing three of their last six games.

And then the conference tournament happened. Heading into the ACC Men's BasketballTournament, Wake Forest had a good chance of making the NCAA Tournament as long as it took care of business in the first couple of rounds.

But the Demon Deacons did not take care of business. They lost to Boston College on Wednesday in the second round of the tournament. To make matters worse, Boston College was the 12 seed in the tournament.

Now, Wake Forest will be on pins and needles to say if its name gets called on Selection Sunday. The Demon Deacons are currently -136 to make the tournament and +102 to not make the tournament on FanDuel.
