This PrizePicks play has been built under one assumption: The Bills are going to be in control of this game.

Despite the Bills’ injuries on defense, we know enough about this team to expect a bounce-back performance here after losing to the Patriots. We also know that Buffalo can dominate inferior opposition, having already blown out the Raiders and Commanders this season.

Check out the three Buccaneers vs. Bills PrizePicks plays that I’ve found for Thursday Night Football.

Rachaad White

Less Than 12.5 Rush Attempts

This pick is based on us operating under the assumption that Buffalo is going to come out of the gates and take the game by control quickly. It also has something to do with White’s lack of efficiency this season.

Two weeks ago, Tampa Bay was thoroughly dominated at home against the Lions. The Bucs only lost by 14, but the eye test — and box score — would indicate that they were lucky it was that close.

In that game, White only got seven rush attempts. He barely got more than 12.5 carries (13) on Sunday against the Falcons in what was a tight game the whole way.

White is averaging 3.2 yards per carry this season and is coming off a 2.6 average against the Falcons. The Tampa Bay offensive line is among the worst in the league, which definitely isn’t helping, and White doesn’t appear to be the kind of RB who can overcome that.

Ke’Shawn Vaughn got four carries against Atlanta and six against Detroit. His role is bigger in this offense than it was in Week 1.

I’m expecting Baker Mayfield to attempt a boatload of passes tonight, which will hinder White’s workload in the ground game.

Josh Allen

Less Than 33.5 Pass Attempts

This one also correlates with the idea that this will not be a close game.

Allen has finished with less than 33.5 pass attempts three times this season. The Bills won two of those games by 34 and 28 points, respectively, and the other was their ugly 14-9 win over the Giants on Monday Night Football.

So, the basic premise here is that when Buffalo dominates a game and is in control, Allen is more likely to attempt less than 33.5 passes.

Tampa Bay has a strong run defense, but that unit could be without star defensive lineman Vita Vea, which would be a huge blow. That could lead to Buffalo attacking on the ground more than usual through the likes of James Cook and Latavius Murray.

James Cook

More Than 13 Rush Attempts

This one is pretty straightforward, like the Allen one.

We’re expecting Buffalo to be in control of this game at home against a potentially inefficient Bucs offense. That means a heavy dose of Cook.

Buffalo beat. the Raiders by 28, Commanders by 34 and Dolphins by 28. Cook got more than 13 carries in two of those games. In Buffalo’s last two games, he got 14 rush attempts in the win over the Giants and 13 in the loss to the Patriots.

Murray is a nice RB to have around the goal line since he clearly knows his way into the end zone, but Cook is the guy here. If Buffalo is ahead, it’s going to feed Cook. I actually prefer this pick to the Allen play, so I’d use this with White’s rush attempts total if you’re just looking for a two-pack.

Pick: James Cook More Than 13 Rush Attempts
