The Bills are 4.5-point favorites over the Colts (Bills -4.5) with the over/under at 47 points scored. Buffalo is -225 on the moneyline and Indianapolis is +185.

Against the Spread Pick
I'm taking the points with the Colts here as long as it's more than a field goal. I rate this team much higher with Joe Flacco under center and think this is a good matchup for the Indianapolis offense.
Over/Under Prediction
While I project this total at 46, I'm passing on making a bet on the over/under.
Moneyline
While I'm backing the Colts here, I'm passing on betting their moneyline and am taking the points.
My pick: Colts +4.5 (-110)
How To Bet Bills vs. Colts Picks
This Colts team is significantly better with Joe Flacco at quarterback. His first game last week against the Vikings was a difficult matchup with how much Minnesota blitzes. That’s not what you want with a guy like Flacco under center.
Buffalo’s defense is not similar to Minnesota’s. The Bills aren’t going to throw a ton of blitzes at Flacco, which is good news for him and a Colts team that still has a very good offensive line.
The Colts offense has strong pieces, as well. Jonathan Taylor is back, and Josh Downs is playing like an elite receiver these days. The Colts can score points and keep up with Buffalo, especially at home, with Flacco at the helm.
On the other side, Buffalo is going to get points one way or another. There are a couple of noteworthy injuries, though, with Keon Coleman and Amari Cooper both dealing with wrist injuries. Coleman is going to be out this weekend, while Cooper has been limited in practice all week.
In years past when Ken Dorsey was running the Bills offense, this team was capable of blowing out opposition. Joe Brady runs a more run-heavy style of offense, though, which leads to the Bills winning more close games than in years past. They could have lost to the Jets at home earlier this season, and their Week 1 matchup with the Cardinals definitely could have gone either way after a slow start offensively.
This pick is mostly about the Colts, though. They’re competitive in every game and are 7-2 against the spread with Anthony Richardson under center for most of those games. That guy couldn’t complete a pass, but this team was still staying in games, covering spreads and out-performing expectations.
Also, a road favorite with a winning percentage of 75% or higher is 121-158 against the spread over the past decade. When you filter out the last month of the season when some teams are a little more inflated or overrated, you get to 97-138 (41%).
I’ll bet the Colts at anything more than a field goal.
Pick: Colts +4.5 (-110)
