No one can argue that the Panthers have seen their fair share of turnover this season. Their head coach, Matt Rhule, was fired midseason, they traded away star running back Christian McCaffery, and they’ve started three different quarterbacks this season.

One constant has been the dedication to the run game. The Panthers have run the ball at the 5th highest rate in neutral game-scripts (49%, per RotoViz). And that rate jumps to 54% under interim head coach Steve Wilks.

Even though D’Onta Foreman has been the Panthers’ 1A at running back, I like the value on Chuba Hubbard player props — specifically, Hubbard to go over his rushing total in NFL Week 15.

The Oklahoma State product has cleared this line in three of his five games since the departure of CMC. In his last two games, he’s registered 31 carries for 139 yards.

The Steelers run defense has been playing well, but their uncertainty on the other side of the ball should help our cause here. Pittsburgh should struggle to move the ball and score with Mitch Trubisky today, which would lead to more opportunities for the Panthers offense.

In their previous two games, the Steelers have allowed 188 combined rushing yards to JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards, as well as 112 yards to Cordarrelle Patterson and Tyler Allgeier. I expect Foreman and Hubbard to continue on that trend today.

I have the Panthers running back projected at 42 yards, and would play this like up to over 35.5.
