Achane, the speedy rookie running back out of Texas A&M, has only been able to play in four full games for the Dolphins this season. However, in those contests, he’s cleared the over on 2.5 receptions three times.
Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle get most of the love in the Dolphins' passing game, and deservedly so. But Miami's running back room has quietly recorded 68 collective receptions this season (5.7 per game). When healthy, Achane leads the way as the primary pass-catcher for the position group.
In his four healthy games, Achane has run a route on 57% of Tua Tagovailoa’s dropbacks, a decisive advantage over fellow starting running back, Raheem Mostert (48%). This includes Achane’s 28 routes run out of the slot, which have resulted in seven targets and six catches.
Head coach Mike McDaniel is known for his offensive creativity. He’s arguably the best in terms of scheming to ensure his skill-position players can get the ball in space.

On Monday Night Football, against a Titans rush defense that ranks second in DVOA (per FTN Fantasy), I see Achane having more of an impact in the passing game, where Tennessee ranks 29th against running backs.
And it’s not like McDaniel needs an excuse to have Tagovailoa sling the ball — the Dolphins throw at the league’s seventh-highest rate in neutral game scripts, per RotoViz.
This game could get out of hand, but I see this as a play that has upside to cash early. Achane looked like his dynamic self in his return to action last week, and I expect him to lead the Dolphins backfield in snap counts again.
