The Sunday Night Football matchup for Week 8 features two teams headed in opposite directions. At 5-1, the Bills find themselves atop of the AFC standings, while the 3-4 Packers have dropped 3 straight.

One of the reasons for the Bills' continued success this season has been the emergence of Gabe Davis. The third-year wideout announced his presence in last season’s AFC divisional playoffs with a 201-yard, four-touchdown performance.

This season, his first as a full-time starter across from Stefon Diggs, Davis has eclipsed this line in 3-of-5 games. Serving as Buffalo's primary deep threat, he leads the NFL in yards per reception (27.4), yards per target (14.7) and is sixth with a 16.7-yard average depth of target (aDOT).

While banking on production from a deep threat can become highly variable, the UCF product has been the recipient of at least five targets in 4-of-5 contests.

And to top it off, Davis has a juicy matchup in front of him with the Packers coming into town. Green Bay ranks 30th in Football Outsiders’ DVOA metric on deep passes. The focal point of the Packers’ secondary will be to slow down Diggs, which should open up a few deep shots to Davis.

Overall, I see Davis and Josh Allen connecting on at least one deep ball. I have the speedy receiver projected to blow past this yardage total, ending in the low 70s.
