PropBetGuy's Giants vs Steelers Player Prop
- Wan’Dale Robinson Over 5+ Receptions (-126, Caesars)
My favorite bet for this game involves Giants receiver Wan’Dale Robinson to clear his receptions prop. Robinson has recorded at least five catches in six of his seven games this season. Entering tonight, the slot receiver is third in the NFL amongst qualified pass catchers with 9.6 targets per game.
And those targets are mostly of the high-percentage variety. All but six of his 67 targets have traveled less than 10 air yards (91%). His average depth of target of 4.9 yards is the third lowest mark of all qualified receivers.
In the five games he’s shared the field with rookie sensation Malik Nabers, Robinson has managed a virtually identical target share as his counterpart against zone coverage. That should play tonight, as the Steelers employ a zone scheme at the tenth highest rate in the NFL.
It should be a solid individual matchup for Robinson out of the slot, where’s he’s registered 70% of his catches. He’ll be matched with undrafted rookie cornerback Beanie Bishop, who has allowed the fifth most slot receptions this season (per Pro Football Focus).
It should be tough for the Giants to get their below average rushing attack going against the Steelers run defense, which ranks fifth in DVOA (per FTN Fantasy). And against the pressure of TJ Watt and company, I’m expecting Giants quarterback Daniel Jones to have to get the ball out quickly.
I have Robinson projected close to six catches tonight. If you can’t grab a playable line at 5+ receptions, 6+ is playable at +140 or better. Playable to -150; and playable at a half unit at 6+ receptions
Pick: Wan’Dale Robinson Over 5+ Receptions (-126)
