The Detroit Lions offense has been one of the most efficient in the NFL this season. Ranking fourth in DVOA (per FTN Fantasy), the Lions rack up 6.4 yards per offensive play, which is good for the second-best mark in the NFL.

Through the air, quarterback Jared Goff hasn’t needed to push the ball down the field. Goff is second amongst qualified signal callers with a 74% completion percentage, and first in yards per pass attempt at 9.3 yards.

The efficiency has allowed the fourth-year Lion to remain under this line in five of his six starts. The one miss was a whopping 55 attempt performance in Detroit’s lone loss this season, something I don’t foresee happening today against the lowly Titans.

Tennessee’s opponents this season have only averaged 28.5 throws per game, the seventh-lowest mark in the NFL. Today, they’ll be without cornerbacks L’Jarius Snead and Chidobe Awuzie – when Goff does throw, he should be able to push the ball downfield at will.

And at the end of the day, the Lions want to put themselves in position to run the ball with their two-headed backfield of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. Coming into this one as 12-point favorites (as of writing), I see them being able to do just that.

I have Goff projected at 27 pass attempts today.

Chuba Hubbard has cleared this line in five of seven games this season. Each of those five came with at least four receptions. However, the lows were low, as he failed to see a target in both games he stayed under.

One of those zero-catch games came last week against the Commanders, but I see today’s matchup as a chance for the Panthers' RB to bounce back in the receiving game.

Firstly, Carolina will be without Diontae Johnson and Adam Thielen at wide receiver. This leaves Bryce Young with a very inexperienced receiver room, while having to go up against Broncos shut-down cornerback Patrick Surtain in the secondary.

Denver has allowed five receptions per game to running backs this season, with 23% of opponents’ completions going to the position.

Hubbard should see opportunity, as he has run a route on 60% of dropbacks over the past three games – a top three mark amongst running backs (per Fantasy Points Data).

I don’t love having to trust Young, who has been objectively bad this season. However, we only need a few dump-offs today, in what should be a plus-matchup.
