Not only will the Dolphins be without their signal caller tonight, as Tua Tagovailoa remains out after suffering a concussion, but they will also likely be without the heartbeat of their defense, linebacker David Long Jr.

Long Jr. has not practiced all week after a hamstring injury forced him out of Miami's Week 3 tilt against the Seahawks, which put Jordyn Brooks into focus as the primary off-ball linebacker.

Brooks, who signed a lucrative deal to come to Miami this past off-season, registered nine combined tackles and assists against his former team last week. And without Long Jr. tonight, I love Brooks to rack up the tackles.

The Titans have allowed four off-ball linebackers to clear this line in just three games played. I really do not have much faith in the Dolphins offense, now led by Tyler Huntley, controlling time of possession today either.

I have Brooks projected for nine combined tackles tonight.

Pick: Jordyn Brooks Over 7.5 Tackles + Assists (+105)

The second-year receiver has only cleared this line in one of the Seahawks’ first three games. So far, he’s accrued, 19, 117 and 39 receiving yards.

The advanced numbers for Jaxson Smith-Njigba indicate a breakout could be coming. JSN is averaging 1.84 yards per route run, per Fantasy Points Data, which is 31st amongst NFL receivers who’ve run at least 50 routes. And his 27.6% share of air yards is second on the Seahawks behind DK Metcalf.

Lining up in the slot for more than 85% of the time, Smith-Njigba should be primed for a ceiling-type performance today. The Lions have allowed a whopping 294 receiving yards to opposing receivers lined up in the slot over their three games.

Detroit is strong against the run, ranking 7th in FTN Fantasy’s DVOA metric. Additionally, the Lions have adequately defended opposing WR1s, ranking 9th in DVOA, so I expect Detroit to keep their focus on containing DK Metcalf.

With the Lions coming in as 4.5-point underdogs (at the time of publishing), I do see them having to air the ball out to keep up with the high-powered Lions offense. I have Smith-Njigba projected for eight targets tonight, and to turn in close to 60 receiving yards.

Pick: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 49.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
