Falcons vs. Saints
London has cleared this total in seven of his last 11 games, which includes a five-catch, 91-yard performance against today’s opponent, the New Orleans Saints.
As they were in their first matchup against the Falcons, the Saints will be without their best cornerback, Marshon Lattimore, for today’s game. Without Lattimore, New Orleans has struggled mightily against outside receivers. In fact, six wide receivers have cleared this line against the Saints in the last two games.
Quarterback Taylor Heinicke is questionable with an ankle injury, but is expected to play (as of writing). However, even if Desmond Ridder winds up taking the snaps, London has shown the ability to produce with either signal caller.
In a game where both teams will be motivated to try to clinch a playoff spot, I have London projected closer to 60 receiving yards.
Pick: Drake London Over 46.5 Receiving Yards (Play to 49.5)
Bears vs. Packers
The rookie slid into the Bears number two wide receiver role last week with Darnell Mooney out. This led to a career high five targets for Scott, catching two of those passes. Mooney will once again miss this week – Scott should see some elevated usage once again.
Last week, Scott was on the field for a season high 26 pass snaps out of 38 dropbacks by QB Justin Fields. He’s shifty, and the Bears look to get him the ball to utilize his speed and yards after catch ability.
Scott saw five targets last week, including one screen pass behind the line of scrimmage. It’s only a one-week sample size, but the Bears will look to use the Cincinnati product’s speed in creative ways.
The Bears are eliminated from playoff contention, with nothing to play for – I actually think that helps our case with this bet, as Chicago’s coaching staff will be more likely to lean on their younger players, no matter the game script.
