The Bears and Panthers square off on Thursday Night Football in a battle of last-place teams in their respective divisions. My favorite Bears vs. Panthers prop focuses on one of the receiving options for Carolina.
With D.J. Chark Jr. listed as doubtful for tonight’s contest, Terrace Marshall Jr. likely steps into the third-receiver role, alongside Adam Thielen and Jonathan Mingo.
Playing sporadically this season, Marshall has failed to record a catch of at least 15 yards, including in the two games in which he saw elevated playing time. In fact, only three of his 29 total targets have traveled at least 15 Air Yards.

Rookie quarterback Bryce Young has stayed away from deep throws (categorized as 20+ Air Yards), with only 6% of his passes traveling that far (the lowest mark among qualified quarterbacks – all data per Pro Football Focus).
On intermediate throws (10-20 Air Yards), Young’s completion percentage of 44.8% ranks 33rd out of 36 qualified signal-callers.
Life won’t get any easier for Young in the passing game tonight with Chicago expecting its usual high winds. Couple that with a short spread between these two below-average teams, and it’s easy to see a path where the Panthers lean on their rushing attack.
Marshall should see some high-percentage looks, but I don’t expect him to break off a long catch. I have him projected for a long reception of 12 yards tonight, and I’d play this line down to -140.
Pick: Terrace Marshall Longest Reception Under 14.5 Yards (-113 | Play to -140)
