The Sunday night matchup between the Packers and Eagles features teams flush with young skill position players.
So, of course, for my favorite prop of the night, I’m rolling with 12-year veteran, Randall Cobb.
Cobb is third on the Packers with 330 receiving yards this season. With much being made of their inexperienced receivers, it’s Cobb who leads Green Bay’s pass-catchers with 2.20 yards per route run (per Pro Football Focus).
As he did in his first stint with Green Bay, Cobb functions as the Packers’ primary slot receiver. The Eagles possess a stout secondary, but they are without primary slot cornerback, Avonte Maddox. With Pro Bowl corners Darius Slay and James Bradberry mainly lining up outside, Cobb will face off against backup Josiah Scott.
Cobb has eclipsed this line in five of the last six games in which he’s suited up. With the Packers coming in as 6.5-point underdogs, Aaron Rodgers and the offense will likely find themselves in passing situations.
Since Week 5, the Packers are passing 60% of the time in neutral game scripts, per RotoViz — the eighth highest mark in the NFL.
Yes, it’s 2022, and I’m banking on production from Randall Cobb. I have the former college quarterback projected close to 40 yards.
