After Rondale Moore went down with a season-ending injury in training camp, Ray-Ray McCloud stepped into a prominent role in the Falcons passing offense.

In fact, through two games, McCloud leads the Falcons in targets (12) and is second on the team with 94 receiving yards.

As quarterback Kirk Cousins continues to gain comfort in the Falcons offense, I’ll look to him to lean on McCloud in the passing game tonight.

The Chiefs' defense under Steve Spagnuolo typically looks to take away the opponent’s number-one receiver. Ja’Marr Chase (35 yards on 5 targets) and Zay Flowers (37 yards on 10 targets) both struggled against Kansas City’s secondary.

And the Chiefs have been excellent against the traditional running game, having held opposing running backs to 114 rush yards through two games.

It should be tough sledding for Bijan Robinson on the ground, which would lead to Cousins having to air it out. McCloud has been on the field for more than 90% of the Falcons’ pass plays, so far this season.

I have the slot receiver projected north of 40 receiving yards tonight.
