New Jersey Devils vs. Columbus Blue Jackets NHL Preview
The Columbus offense has stalled at the absolute worst time.
Back-to-back 4-0 losses — at home, no less — to the Rangers and Golden Knights have dropped the Blue Jackets below the East playoff cut-line. The losses are part of a current three-game skid and mark the third time Columbus has been blanked in the last five games (the Panthers also turned the trick with a 3-0 win on March 6).
Meanwhile, the Devils are at least scoring goals, even in their losses (7-3 loss to the Penguins on Saturday), but sit in a playoff spot after wins in three of four.
That said, Jacob Markstrom, who had a 1.30 GAA not long ago in January, needs to return to form in goal after being on the wrong end of the Penguins' score line last time out.
