Tonight I'm backing this New Yor Rangers top line, which has been incredible since the team acquired J.T. Miller. Both he and Artemi Panarin have four points in the two games they've played together, with Miller coming off a two-goal performance on the road in Boston.

Boston is a different team on the road than it is at home. The Bruins are the sixth-best defensive team in hockey at home, allowing only 2.54 goals per game. But on the road, they are the worst defensive team in hockey, allowing a full 4 goals per game.

Boston also played last night and will have backup goalie Joonas Korpisalo in net instead of Jeremy Swayman, who has been very good of late.

I'm backing the Rangers' top line to have a big game tonight.

Pick: Parlay: J.T. Miller & Artemi Panarin Both Over 1+ Points (-115)

It never really seems like a great idea to bet on the Chicago Blackhawks, but they’ve played their best hockey in the first period this season.

The Blackhawks are 11-9-6 in the first period at home this season, which is impressive considering their home record overall is 10-14-2.

The Oilers are 8-9-7 in the first period on the road this season. Considering Edmonton beat the Blues 3-2 in OT last night, I can see them having heavy legs early.

The Oilers have struggled to come out hot after an overtime or shootout game as well. The Oilers are 2-4-5 in the first period after playing in a game that goes to OT/SO.

The most recent case is a 3-0 first period loss to the Maple Leafs after losing 3-2 to Detroit in shootout. Some of the other first period losses include to the likes of the Sharks, Blue Jackets, and Predators.

Pick: Blackhawks First Period +0.5 (-140)
