Coming off a 7 IP performance against the Mets in his last start, I don’t see Winans repeating that today. For one, he faced an awful Mets lineup in a double header (no Nimmo, Lindor or Alvarez). He’s now also pitching off-cadence (8 days rest) in his first home start in hitter-friendly Truist Park. Mets overall have been hot against righties - 113 wRC+ L2 weeks. In Winans first start, he only went 4.1 IP vs MIL. His stuff+ has only registered as an 80 and 74 in his two starts as well, so it’s not like he’s coming in with an elite arsenal. Braves have no reason to push him today - I’ll trust the Mets bats…
