The Pelicans take on the Brooklyn Nets and this is a game between two teams that are trending in dramatically different directions. Since the All Star Break Pelicans are smashing. The Pelicans have the third-best Net Rating in the NBA but they’ve ben even better to start the game. In the 1H, the Pelicans are 8-4 with a +15.7 Net Rating. Their starters and their bench unit are both strong and their rotations optimize their talent. Starting off strong has been a hallmark of this Pelicans’ season. On the flip side, Brooklyn has struggled to start games. They are 5-9 with a -1.7 Net in the 1H after the All-Star Break. Additionally, they are -2.6 in Net Rating in the full game which is the 21st ranked Net Rating since the Break. New Orleans is a much better team at this juncture, and given their drive and focus out of the break, I expect them to start this game off strong. I’ll lay the points with the Pelicans in the 1H.
