NBA Player Props & Picks

Paolo Banchero, Under 31.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

OddsBanchero u31.5 PRA (-113)

Despite his strong rookie season, Banchero’s production has waned of late. The Magic forward is averaging 29.2 combined points, rebounds and assists (PRA) since the beginning of February, failing to clear this line in 14 of his 21 games.

A matchup against the Wizards is less than ideal for the Duke product. Washington’s frontcourt, led by a resurgent defensive season from Kristaps Porzingis, has held opposing power forwards to the fifth-fewest PRA over the last 30 games.

Banchero has stayed under this line in both games against the Wizards this season, shooting a meager 12-of-36 from the field. I expect more of the same today, as I project Banchero at 28 PRA. I’m comfortable playing this line down to under 30.5.

Cameron Johnson, Under 15.5 Points

OddsJohnson u15.5 PTS (-113)

In a revamped Nets lineup, Johnson is averaging 15.1 points across 15 games. He’s had some bigger outputs, but has stayed under this points line in nine of 15 contests.

As a sharpshooter who garners most of his points off of secondary action (spot-up shots and hand-offs), Johnson faces a tough test against a Cavaliers squad that limits production off of those play types. Cleveland also allows the seventh-fewest fast break points per game, another staple of Johnson’s repertoire.

While capable of microwave scoring, I don’t see much upside for the North Carolina product today. I have Johnson projected at 13 points, and would play this line down to -130.

Jaylen Brown, Over 26.5 Points

OddsBrown o26.5 PTS (-113)

Since the All-Star break, Brown is over this line in seven of 12 games. And while this points prop is in line with his season average of 26.7 points per game, the upside in this matchup is the pace.

The Kings rank 10th in Pace, and sixth over the last 15 games. Brown has cleared 27 points in 13 of his 22 matchups against teams in the top 15 of Pace this season, including 10 of his last 13 opportunities.

Tonight, I have Brown once again pushing 30 points. I’d play this line up to over 27.5.
