Without superstar point guard Ja Morant, the Grizzlies shocked the NBA world with a resounding 39-point win over the Warriors in Game 5.
Now with the series shifting back to San Francisco, Memphis will once again be playing with its backs against the wall, facing elimination. And for me, the key aspect of this game is where it will be played.
Jaren Jackson Jr., who is undoubtedly talented, has been a much different player on the road in these playoffs. He has averaged 25.5 PRA per 34 minutes on the road, compared to 34 PRA per 34 minutes at home. His shooting numbers (32% vs. 42%) and usage (21.2% vs. 25.8%) also take a hit on the road.
Over the course of the regular season, the Warriors defense has been dominant at home, ranking first in the NBA. I expect Draymond Green to once again serve as the primary defender on his fellow Michigan State alum. Jackson Jr. has struggled to the tune of 4-of-18 shooting when defended by Green in this series.
With Steven Adams re-entering the rotation to poach some rebounds, I have a modest output of 23 PRA in 34 minutes projected for the Grizzlies forward.
Pick: Under 26.5 PRA (-115) | Play to 25.5
