To say Karl-Anthony Towns has had a turbulent last few games would be an understatement. The Wolves’ center has scored 11, 29, 15 and 8 points over his last four games, while navigating some significant foul trouble.
After a regular season in which he averaged 24.6 points, Towns has struggled mightily in only his second postseason series. After dismantling Steven Adams in Game 1, the Kentucky product hasn’t been able to successfully navigate Memphis’ smaller lineups. In Games 2 and 3, Towns has only managed 11 total field goal attempts and 10 free throw attempts.
And it’s not just the shot attempts. Towns has only garnered 29 and 27 front-court touches, respectively, in the last two games. Despite the foul trouble cutting into his minutes, it’s a big decrease from the 43 front-court touches per game he saw in the regular season.
While I’m sure Minnesota will look to involve Towns more tonight, I don’t see him coming close to this line. I have the big man projected at 21 points
Pick: Karl-Anthony Towns Under 24.5 Points (-120 at DraftKings). Playable to 23.5.
