There seemingly hasn’t been a team that has dealt with more fluidity with its active roster than the Nets. Irving’s status has kept him as a part time player, Kevin Durant has been injured, and of course James Harden was jettisoned to the Sixers. While this has wreaked havoc on any semblance of consistency and chemistry, it has opened up some value on today’s points line on Irving.

With the Nets only having two superstars at their disposal today, it’s prudent to see how Irving performs playing only with Durant. Over the last two seasons, the Nets guard has averaged 25.5 points per game suiting up alongside KD, with no Harden. His usage of 27% remains on his average, as does his scoring per 36 minutes.

The Celtics team defense is tough, rating first in the NBA. However, where they have shown some susceptibility is against scoring guards/ball-handlers. In fact, in each of their last six games, the opposing team’s highest usage guard has hit the over on their points prop against Boston, including Trae Young (31 points) and Ja Morant (38).

Plus, I like the narrative factor of Irving playing in his former home arena in Boston. Tonight, I have the Nets guard putting up yet another 25+ point effort.

Pick: Kyrie Irving over 22.5 points (-115 at BetMGM) Playable to 23.5.
